This cache bears the same name as this fantastic lookout! The panoramic views are truly amazing, taking in the Jamison Valley, Kings Tableland, the sacred Mt. Solitary (Korowal) and the eastern side of the 3 (or 7) Sisters. Remember to bring your camera. This is one of the all-time great views in this part of the Blue Mountains and you'll want to remember it. From the car park at the end of Sublime Point Road, it’s only an easy 175 metre walk down to the official lookout area, which is completely fenced. Please note that here at Sublime Point -- as in many scenic places in the Blue Mountains -- there are many unfenced cliff edges. (You'll notice all the warning signs, put up by the NP&WS. They're there for a good reason.) So, at the risk of repeating myself, remember to take care with your geo-kids -- and with yourself! You can easily reach this geocache without doing anything dangerous. It's not at all near the edge of the cliff. And after you log it, stick to the main lookout area where the fences will keep everyone safe. Thanks again to our departed friend Banksia777 for recognising an iconic Blue Mountains locale. It's an honour to be maintaining this cache on his behalf.
A personal note . . . I actually logged this cache on 3 Apr 2010 and it was my very first geocache find. Then Banksia777 transferred the cache ownership to me the next year, on September 27th. So SUBLIME remains my all-time favourite geocache . . .
