Now, back to the original event information
One of Whatcom County's best loved caching families have made the
big move from Bellingham to Lynden, so it's time to give them a
warm welcome to their new home in the north county! The Geobells
have contributed so much to geocaching in our area -- you've
probably tried to solve one of their tricky puzzle caches and
there's a good chance that you own a t-shirt that Mr. Bells has
printed for a geocaching event that you've attended. Mark your
calendars now to come out and meet the Geobells, have some pizza,
and have a great time. If you are lucky, you may even get to learn
the secret "Lynden Handshake"!
New geocachers are especially welcome to attend! You'll get to
meet some of the other local geocaching folks, get a hint on one of
those caches you can't seem to find, or maybe find a geocaching
buddy to go out caching with! This is a family-friendly event,
there's no charge to attend, and all are welcome.
The weather looks clear for Saturday, so be sure to come on out
and "Ring the Bells"!!
Let's see how many bells we can bring to the event -- the
easiest one will be most everyone's cell phone! My iPhone has sound
effects of church bells, a doorbell, and an old fashioned phone
bell. No cell phone?? How about a jingle bell, cowbell, or
handbell? As a toast to the Geobells, we can see how much noise we
can make with our collective bells ringing!
