Welcome to our continuing Fallin' For Virginia cache series. The
series features some of the most beautiful water falls of Southwest
Virginia.
The cache is placed very near the Upper Falls of the Little
Stony Creek. The trail follows the Little Stony Creek for 2.8 miles
through a 400 feet deep and 1700 feet wide gorge. You are not going
nearly that far but it is worth taking the hike the whole distance.
Many rapids, stone formations and small waterfalls can be seen
along the trail. There are three other caches along the trail
within a .5 mile hike from the parking area. They are: The
Troll...(GCMDGK), Fallin'...VIII (GCWW5M) and
Granny's...(GC57DF).
A special thank you goes to mtmanva2 for his help in
placing this cache. He is what caching is all about.
You are looking for a small Rubbermaid container that is
camo-taped. You may need to use the hints because GPS reception was
most difficult. Please post your coordinates if your GPSr is
receiving with good accuracy. Take your camera, bathing suit
and picnic supplies.
Please place the cache and everything else back as you found
it.
Don't forget CITO
Have a good caching day.
