The coordinates above will lead you to a prominent rock located in
Sackett Preserve in Wilton. Surrounding the rock at 3, 6, 9 and 12
o'clock are four micros which hold part of the coordinates to the
final cache. The micros at 12 and 6 o'clock are the furthest away
from the rock at approximately twenty-five paces. A compass will
help in your serach. Please replace the micros as found.
There are two accesses to Sackett Preserve. The main trail head is
located off Ridgefield Road just south of DeForest Road. The
parking area is set back from the road (look for sign). The second
access is through the adjacent Marble Van Haelewyn - Richards
Preserve. The trail head for this preserve is located at the end of
Abbott Lane. There is a small wet area you will need to navigate in
order to find the rock if you use the trail head off Ridgefield
Road. The trails are marked but not as well traveled as some of the
other preserves in the area. The final cache is a tupperware
container that has trade items. The FTF prize is a Wooden "Ax"
Nickel that will give you a chance to win a $25 gift certificate to
Groundspeak. Check out the Double Tree cache in these preserves.
Good Luck! NOTE (11/5/07): PRESERVE CLOSED WEEK DAYS DURING HUNTING
SEASON.
