Note: This cache was first planted in April of 2001, 16 months ago.
There has been a total of 26 visitors (Welcome to each and every one of you!). This comes out to about 1 visitor every 3 weeks.
Even assuming each and every visitor arrived by road, which they did not, that means 1 car has gone past the Rat's house every 3 weeks.
Although this is a public, county road and a public beach, RiverRat has threatened to destroy the cache because that 'heavy' traffic is too much for him to live with!
So please be aware that it may no longer be there but stay and enjoy the beach.
I used an old ammo box, painted black to make it less obvious, and the contents are in a ziploc bag.
To make this cache a little more challenging and to enjoy a nice hike along the shoreline, park in the Lexington Harbor and enjoy the rocks and waves along the way.
Be sure to decipher the hidden clue if you're not starting in the harbor.
