LavaLizard: When it announced that Anza Borrego Desert State Park would no longer allow geocaches, this cache was disabled in hopes that we could come to an arrangement where some geocaches could remain in the Park. Many years have passed and the situation has not changed and as this cache owner now seems to be inactive, I am archiving this cache.

Geocache Description:

Cache is located in the Pinyon Mountain area of the Anza Borrego Desert. There is a great location nearby to pull off the road safely and search for the cache.

This cache has been placed in honor of our oldest grand-daughter. This week-end was her inauguration week-end in discovering the game of caching. After locating a few caches she was as hooked as her grand-parents. It's a nasty bug you know. It can only be cured by caching some more. Every other word from her 5 year old mouth was, "When are we going to find another treasure?" The most important part of the game though is to teach young cachers that you must give and not only take. And that is why this cache has been placed. She learned that placing a cache is just as much, if not more fun to find a cache. All cache contents have never been cached before.
