Heimatzentrum OWL
Das Heimatzentrum OWL setzt sich unter anderem aus dem "Altbäuerlichen Sennekotten" und dem "Haus des historischen Handwerks" zusammen.
Das alte Haus ist ein für Hövelhof typisches Gebäude, das 1908 errichtet worden ist. In dem schmucken Fachwerkhaus wird Kulturgut der Gemeinde gesammelt, gepflegt und erhalten. So finden wir dort ein kleines Gehöft vor, welches das Leben in der Senne um 1900 widerspiegelt. .
Das Haus des historischen Handwerks wurde in ehrenamtlicher Arbeit errichtet und konnte 2005 seiner Bestimmung übergeben werden.
Verschiedene alte und vom Aussterben bedrohte Handwerke wie Korbmacher, Seiler, Schmied, Stellmacher, Schuhmacher und andere, können hier noch im realistischen und historischen Kontext dargestellt und vorgeführt werden. Insbesondere die alten Webstühle und Spinnräder der Textilwerkstatt sind regelmäßig in Betrieb. Hinzu kommen die Streuobstwiese, das alte Backhaus, die Scheune und der bäuerlich angelegte Hofraum.
Das Heimatzentrum ist geöffnet mittwochs 14.00 -17.00 Uhr und freitags von 14.00 – 17.00 Uhr. Termine für Führungen außerhalb der Öffnungszeiten sind nach Absprache Telef.05257/5009830 möglich. Ein Besuch ist auf alle Fälle lohnenswert.

Heimatzentrum OWL
The Heimatzentrum OWL is made up of, among other things, the "Altbäuerlichen Sennekotten" and the "House of Historic Craftsmanship".
The old house is a typical Hövelhof building, which was built in 1908. In the pretty half-timbered house cultural heritage of the community is collected, maintained and preserved. So we find there a small homestead, which reflects the life in the Senne around 1900.
The House of Historic Crafts was built in volunteer work and could be turned over in 2005.
Various old and endangered crafts such as basket makers, rope makers, blacksmiths, wheelwrights, shoemakers and others can still be presented and demonstrated here in a realistic and historical context. In particular, the old looms and spinning wheels of the textile workshop are in regular operation. In addition there are the orchard, the old bakery, the barn and the farm yard.
The Home Center is open Wednesdays 2 pm-5 pm and Fridays from 2 pm-5pm. Dates for guided tours outside the opening hours are possible by arrangement on Telef.05257 / 5009830. A visit is definitely worthwhile.
