Geocache Description:

This is the second in my series of caches along this former railway. This cache commemorates a rusting relic of that bye gone era.

The posted coordinates will take you to a plaque which has a date posted on it. There are six numeric digits on the plaque. You will need to use the first three digits and then go south that many feet to find the actual cache.

This multi-use, whole-access trail between the cities of Concord and San Ramon follows the Southern Pacific Railroad right-of-way established in 1891 and abandoned in 1977. For more information visit the East Bay Parks Website at:
