Start at Horsethief Canyon Staging Area. Container placed near trailside amongst immediate edge of boulders. Strenuous hike from staging area on decent trail for the most part. Expect some tiring ascents and descents. Watch for snakes along the trail and amongst boulders but don’t worry, be happy.
One of the beauties of Geocaching is that it unites young and old alike. On the other hand how alike are the young and old of Geocaching, really? The good news is that life expectancy has risen dramatically in the past Century but at a price.
Medical procedures and prescriptions have dramatically extended life expectancy but some suggest that gains come at the expense of reduced quality of life. Growing older and older takes a certain state-of-mind about the problems that beset our aging health and welfare.
So here’s the real deal about old-age health problems, each and every problem is actually a blessing. Think about it, with increased life expectancy we get to hang around long enough to wear out our bodies and minds and encounter the problems of aging. Otherwise you would be dead and buried before you get to wear yourself out.
So get on the trail and ignore the pain and sorrow, just remember, life is good. While you track down this hide your job is to get over the fact that you are now or soon might be as ugly as a stump.
Just get over it, there’s little you can do about it and you should be glad to live long enough to be so ugly. Ain’t that a blessing?
