Geocache Description:

This is a simple medicine bottle cache in an interesting area at a new branch library in San José. Bring your own writing utensil.

Construction on the Vineland Branch Library, the first all-new library site since the new joint MLK library, began in the summer of 2002. Vineland Branch opened its doors January 17, 2004 and serves a large and culturally diverse community in south San José. Its 24,000 square feet include a large community room, study rooms, technology center and café. The branch has many family-oriented services, large media collections and special language materials.

To prepare for the opening of the Vineland Library, the Almaden Branch Library was shut in preparation for a complete transformation, and staff were moved to the Vineland Branch, so you may see some familiar faces there if you are used to going to the Almaden Branch.

As part of its ongoing commitment to encouraging a "green city", the City of San José has installed two electric vehicle charging stations at this site. It is near here that you will find the cache.

You can expect to see these devices at all new future City facilities.
