The Holmenkollen Jumpoff Bug Hotel welcomes travel bugs leaving or arriving in Norway. Conveniently located near one of Oslo's must-see attractions, a business visit to the hotel may be easily combined with sightseeing.
Room facilities include unsurpassed views of the world famous Holmenkollen ski jump and easy access to our comfy TradeWinds tea lounge.
To make hotel visits comfortable and care-free, the management encourages visitors to wear sports shoes. Some stretching may be required to reach the hotel entrance. If you're less than 165 cms tall, you may wish to use the services of a nearby branch for an easy ascent.
For your safety, it's suggested that patrons do not stray onto the paved path nearby. It's used by roller-skiers in the snowless season and by real skiers in the winter, and they could come very fast. Also, to keep the hotel a safe refuge for TBs and coins, and not least for geocachers of the world, the management kindly requests that you pay attention to occasional muggle traffic in the area.
Logging your visit: For the enjoyment of future visitors and the hotel owners, you are invited to write a few extra words in our deluxe logbook, not just your geocaching user name. Please help us to keep alive the fine tradition of sophisticated on-site logging. If you drop off or pick up a trackable item, please mention your transaction in your log. For your internet logging, we strongly discourage lengthy copy-and-paste blah-blah from visits to caches that have nothing to do with this one.
Getting there: Metro train station nearby. Trains marked "Frognerseteren" leave downtown metro stations several times every hour most days. Look for the navy blue "T" symbol marking stations. Get off at Holmenkollen station. From there, you'll have a ten-minute walk, mostly uphill.
Changing environment: Due to developments in the vicinity, the hotel has moved several times over the years to various locations on the ridge known as "Gratishaugen", a "free ridge" from which one could watch ski jumping competions for free before serious money took over the world of sports. It started in a cave, then found a safe location under a wooden staircase. After the staircase fell into disrepair and was eventually removed, the hotel has spent a couple of miserable years as PET tub hanging off a tree. As of April 2017, the management is thrilled to reopen the premises as a first class bug hotel. Since the hotel opened in 2003, the ski jump itself has been torn down and rebuilt, meaning that our hospitality tradition is older than the current ski jump.
For the record, we are happy to keep the original cache desciption:

Room facilities include unsurpassed views of the world famus Holmenkollen ski jump, complimentary mosquito repellent, stationery, Chinese art, deluxe log, pen and standard info note.
Basic hotel space is 25x18x6 centimetres, sufficient for most bugs. Extra space can be made available for large guests. Please notifiy the management well in advance. Good parking and suburban train station available nearby. Trains marked "Frognerseteren" leave Majorstuen station several times every hour most days. Get off at Holmenkollen station.
Important notes: The hotel is located safely within the security fence. Do not attempt to climb over or crawl under the fence while looking for the hotel entrance.
Also, beware of abundant geomuggles. It is suggested that you move away from the hiding place after grabbing the cache and do your logging and trading further north.
The owner of the nearest house has been informed of possible hunting in the area and voiced no objections, as long as visitors do not open his gate. Please do not enter his property.
(end of original description).
A final thought: Some TBs have very specific goals in life. Add a note or a mission statement to your bug if this is the case. You cannot rely on random hotel visitors to know the destination of your bug.
Likewise, visitors are asked to think twice before grabbing a bug - you don't want to take it to the North Pole if it really wants Pangandaran, Indonesia.
Spoiler warning: The hint will tell you the exact location of the hotel.
