G35: Due to the dumb decision by the Minnesota DNR to not want caches in State parks I'm removing this cache today 7-4-02. Expected time of removal to be at 5:30 PM.

This is not the end of this cache as the DNR will not win. Look for this cache to make a return at a new location most likly at a County park as they don't seem to mind caches and visitors to there parks.

Thanks and sorry the DNR screwed up this cache.
I counted about 40 visits to this cache from the logs and at $4.00 per park fee that means Afton State park made approx $160.00 by this cache being there. No more money for them.

Geocache Description:

Located in Washington County in Afton State Park. A dailly fee is required for the park or a season pass sticker.

1-12-02 the cache container has been switched with a 16" PVC pipe that is white in color and has a screw off end cap. It has writting all over it with cache name and coridinates. The original contents were...

Log book, batteries, rain poncho, hot wheels car, crayons, keychain, mini bean bag toy and kleenex.

Cache is about 1.1 miles from the main parking lot by what I think is a visitors center and is about 35 feet off the trail. The hike ranges from prairie land to pine forest to oak and birch forest. The trail also offers great views of the St. Croix River. It's one of my favorate hikes.

I believe the cache is still there as I checked it about 2 weeks ago. The tree cover seems to be causing trouble with the cordinates so here are some that I took when I was last there. These are standing right over the cache. N44.50.466 W092.46.336. Maybe this will help people find the cache.
