San Pedro Ponds Trail Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

GEOGillian: I'm going to archive this one, hopefully to replace it at some point. I went over to replace the wet log and clean it out and found somebody 'cleaned me out' of the cache. I would like to replace it with the same kind, but am leaving the country for a few weeks and won't have a chance to do it before I leave. Thanks to all who sought and found it!

Geocache Description:

This park offers a wonderful place for an walk. The San Pedro groundwater recharge area is comprised of seven ponds averaging 16 feet in depth. The ponds receive water imported from the Sacramento-San Joaquin Rivers Delta that is used to replenish the Llagas Subbasin – South County’s primary source of drinking water. The ponds are home to several species of waterfowl. The trail is flat and fenced in to keep young ones from the water.

While this cache is in plain sight it will be difficult to spot. It is a sign only cache, and you need to bring your own pencil. Be stealthy, no need to climb over any fences. Enjoy your walk.

Thanks to dpsmedic & Daughter for letting me adopt this cache at the end of December, 2010.
