The original cache was wiped out by a giant eucalyptus tree
which bthomas calls a widowmaker in some of his logs; so I guess I
am a cache widower.
This cache is completely different from my original cache
at this park. The container is a small to micro cache which has a
small area for small items. Please bring your pen to log your
find.
As described in my original cache,
Patricia Wharton Park is a neighborhood mini park which has just
been improved with concrete pathways, new benches, and landscaping.
The Park was originally constructed by Belmont 4-H Club members in
the 1970’s, in memory of Patricia Wharton who was a parent
volunteer in the 4-H Club.
Although the cache is partially out of sight, you DO NOT
need to move any vegetation on the ground to find this cache.
Although new cachers may find this hide more difficult than
experienced cachers, I am placing the level of difficulty for
experienced cachers for the first couple of weeks.
Please place cache back exactly as you found it.
Thanks.
Note: I did have some difficulty to get my GPS to settle down
and give me consistent readings, possibly due to the electric wires
on 3 sides of this parcel. I took many readings and finally settled
on coordinates that were the most consistent. So my advise is to
rely more on your geocaching instincts than on the coordinates.
