Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
The cache is a camouflaged ammo container with a geocache.com sticker on one end. It is located on the North side of the Cumberland River Bicentennial trail. It is a brief walk from the nearest parking area. This end of the trail is paved. Travel Bugs are welcome to rest here for a while. PLEASE, leave a TB for each one you take.
Enjoy the scenery of the CRBT as you look for this and other nearby caches along the trail. Please be careful of the local flora and fauna. Keep in mind private property begins (on each side) 25 ft from the middle of the trail.
The FTF will discover the following in the ammo can – Alaskan Snowman #5, hot wheels car, a bouncing ball with light, HippHart stuffed animal, laundry bag, 4 x 6” picture frame, Mutt & Jeff movie on DVD, coil bracelets, 2 frogs, 2 dinosaurs, 3 ft measuring tape, snake, spider, and “Bobby” (my fourth Travel Bug to be released).
If needed, please feel free to remove items (without swapping) to make room for Travel Bugs.
Want to find an archived cache? An archived cache by “hammerjane” is nearby. At least it was still there on the day this cache was hidden. The log for this cache contains the coords for hammerjane’s archived cache. Look on the inside of the back of the log for the coords. The cache may be archived but it is still a fun hunt and VERY close by.
The NEAREST PARKING area to this cache is at the Eagle Pass Trail Head - coords = N36 18.717 W087 08.508. The Eagle Pass Trail Head parking area is also VERY close to a benchmark (PID = GC1408).
