This cache was placed in honor of our favorite pet - Kona!
Kona is a type of parrot known as a black headed caique and she turns 9-years old this month. We placed this cache so that Geocachers could learn more about parrots as they enjoy the outdoors.
The Acton Arboretum is a pet friendly walking park, with picnic tables for enjoying an afternoon snack. Parking is easily accessible from Taylor Rd off Rt 27/Main Street.
Cache is a standard ammo can located off the yellow blazed trail - bushwacking not required. Round trip is approx 15-20 min. Watch out for poison ivy along all trails in the Arboretum.
A trail map can be found at (visit link)
FTF prize is a bike horn, in the shape of a parrot of course!
