Cliff Hanger Cache Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

OReviewer: As there's been no cache to find for a long time, I'm archiving it to keep it from showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements.

Please note that if geocaches are archived by a reviewer or Geocaching HQ for lack of maintenance, they are not eligible for unarchival.

Geocache Description:

Definitely recommend a 4WD vehicle - loose sandy roads

This cache is hidden in the Whiting WMA (that's Wildlife Management Area). There are oodles of great sandy roads through here, but as of now only two or three caches that we know of. It really is a great area for wildlife - on one visit we saw two giant white owls in the upper branches of some tall pines. This area deserves another cache - there is a lot to see, and this cache should allow you to see a lot of it!The cache itself is probably not particularly difficult to find - but we really enjoyed the location, and the name should make a little more sense when you get there. If you have a capable 4WD vehicle you can drive to within 15 feet. The container is a green thermos with duct tape covering the lid (if it keeps liquid in, it surely keeps it out?). Original contents:- penlight- small 'say-and-spin' toy- a few interesting tools- small computer parts- earplugs- fuses- probably a few other goodies (we forget)
