Downtown / Main Street USA: Chatham, NJ Traditional Cache
Joekirr: It's with a heavy heart that I've decided to archive this cache. It's frustrating to create a fix for this spot every few months because it keeps going missing. I also realized this isn't what caching is about to me, hiding micros by benches on busy streets in front of traffic and other onlookers. It's time to get off the streets and back into the woods!
My intent is to create something that will incorporate this site in someway to encourage visitors to it without having caches go missing.
My apologies to all the people who came to look for this cache and came up empty. I hope to have a suitable more relevant cache up within a month.

It is now also part of a "Brief History of Chatham, NJ" a series of planned caches that highlight the history of the town I grew up in.
The cache kept going missing and the original CO moved out of the area so I adopted it. The cache is now a bit more stealthy in order to blend in better with the environment. Take a moment to sit on the bench on a nice day and enjoy the sound of the church bells or watch the hustle and bustle of downtown Chatham.
As you sit on the bench, behind you is Ogden Memorial Church, founded in 1823. The church was originally located further east on Main St and moved to this location in 1905.
The Ogden family is buried at Fairmount Cemetery, the tomb can be seen at the top of the hill as you drive down Fairmount Ave.
Please be gentle on the cache, this is a temporary fix until I can put a better one together.
