On non-rainy days, the Los Gatos Creek Trail is like a freeway at rush hour. It's very difficult to hide or look for a cache along the trail without being seen by a continuous stream of muggles. However, there is a part of the trail less-traveled. It's an unpaved gravel trail on the east side of the creek at Los Gatos Creek County Park. This is a long stretch of trail, with lots of good places to hide caches. Surprisingly, there is only 1 other cache here (Family Additions). I thought I'd put another cache here by the dam. This is right next to the trail, so you don't need to go off-trail at all. Enjoy the solitude between the traffic jams to the east and west. There are a couple of concrete ramps on this side of the creek, so you can go right down to the water. The field between the trail and Hwy 17 invites exploring.

Update 6/23/07: I replaced the cache with a different type of container of about the same volume as a decon, in the same general location. See my log entry for 6/23/07 for more details. Bring your own pencil.
Update 6/22/15: The cache was muggled, apparently. I replaced it with a shorter uncamo'd container a short distance away and covered it. It has room for small, flat trading items. It had a pencil, foreign coin, pin, and keychain. Since it's uncamo'd, make sure it's covered up.
Update 11/18/15: The cache may have been muggled or moved. I replaced it with a micro that I had on-hand a short distance away in a more secure spot.
Update 3/31/21: The cache was gone. I replaced it 24 feet to the right. I updated the coordinates and hint. The cache just has a logsheet in a bag and a pencil.
Update 10/1/21: The cache was muggled again. I replaced this with a camo'd micro, hidden in a different manner. It's the same style as my other cache to the south. It contains just a logsheet and pencil.
