Learning about Milford; and geocaching as you go.
Rotary International is a Community Service organization that turned 100 years old in 2005. As their centennial year approached, Rotary initiated a worldwide project, PolioPlus, to eliminate polio in the world by 2005. They were joined later by many others, including the World Health Organization and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Rotarians have contributed over half a billion dollars to this effort. Today, the effort goes on, having missed their 2005 target, but having made tremendous strides and coming “oh so close” to their goal. Milford Rotarians have shown that their commitment to service is also local, having erected the helpful streetside display near this location. Reading their display is a good way begin your visit to Milford. Please look it over and enjoy this great little town.
Bring your own pencil. The cache is outdoors. It is NOT in the bushes. It is not on the building. It is not in the building. That sure narrows it down, doesn't it?
