We've lived in Campbell for over twenty years and we love it here! It's a beautiful area with friendly people, good schools, nice parks and lots of things to do.
Our, goal is to get you to see what the "Orchard City" was like as it was growing up, from when Benjamin Campbell bought 160 acres of land back in 1851 and planted it with hay and grain,(this has now become the downtown area) to when the railroad came through in the 1870's turning Campbell into a major center for shipping fruit. With drying grounds for the fruits and canneries springing up Campbell became an important rail center.
Campbell wasn't incorporated as a city until 1952 but since then has become a major progressive city in the south bay.
At the location of the cache you'll be able to travel back into Campbell's past and see how this wonderful community has grown.
The times to be able to view this history are on Thursdays thru Sunday from Noon until 4:00 p.m.. There is a small $2.00 fee and kids under 7 are free.
Be sure to check out the 15 minute movie on the history of Campbell. Also, find out about the world famous "Campbell Bicycle Fire Brigade.
Cache is a sign only!
