An easy traditional cache - part of the Coppell Carpet Bomb Cache (CCBC) Series
The fourth cache in the Coppell Carpet Bomb Campaign. This one is relatively straight forward and should be a quick find. There is a marsh/wetland that is a little further NE from CCBC #2 and CCBC #3 - under the same transmission lines. The city has built a pedestrian bridge that crosses the marsh so that the kids can walk from the development to their elementary school. A family or families of Nutria have taken up residence in this area and can be spotted from the bridge. So, after you find the cache walk around a bit and see if you can spot a Nutira or some other wildlife.
What is a Nutria you ask? Kind of like a small beaver with a rat shaped tail. They are considered an invasive and destructive species because of the damage they do to the wetlands. But, they are kind of cute if you like big swimming rats!
In the cajun country they are considered good eating - here is a link to a web site for some recipes (and some other info) - (visit link)
Bon Appetit!
