The cache is located just off the highway on the side of an old abandoned logging road that is used in Winter as snowshoe access to the Grand Canyon of the Fraser. This road is in the Sugarbowl/Grizzly Den Provincial Park.
The "Overlanders' travelled through the Grand Canyon of the Fraser on their way to the Cariboo gold field in the 1860s.There's a special Goldrush prize for the first finder.
There is a small area up the road a little bit set aside for parked cars who want to snowshoe/hike on the trail.
The cache contains a logbook, pencil, and items to be traded. It's in a sealed tupperware kind of container.
It is recommended that you wear some boots to access this geocache, as you have to cross a ditch that is often very wet and muddy.
As it's not hidden high up, it is unavailable during Winter after snow is on the ground.
