Batesville Letterbox Hybrid

This cache has been archived.

J.A.R.S.: Thanks rucache for your note. I went out today to have a look and it unfortunately is missing. I won't be re-carving the stamp image. It had a good 2+ year run, time to open up the area to another hider.

Geocache Description:

*** The cache is NOT at the posted co-ordinates. ***

The hike is approximately 1.25 kms to the box. GORBA trails. See map for bike trails.

Park on Victoria Rd just south of the bridge over the Speed River. N43 35.264 W80 16.423 You’re GPS will tell you that you can get closer by going down Conservation Road but you’ll have a problem – no (legal) parking.

This is a letterbox, there are no trade items.

The above coordinates take you to a sign (not to the letterbox). The letterbox is just a few meters away. The instructions below will get you to the box:

Stand by the sign and survey the area. Look for a lone evergreen with a prickly personality (no pain, no gain), located in a ring. Please hide it well. Stealth may be required depending on the time of year and time of day.

I have placed my hand-carved stamp in each of the boxes. Bring your own ink (Crayola washable markers make great ink tools if you don't have an ink pad). If you carry a letterbox "passport"/journal, use the letterbox's stamp to stamp your passport. If you have a signature stamp, please stamp the log book. If you do not have a stamp, leave a drawing (stick figure drawings and happy faces would be just fine you do not have to be a Picasso or a Da Vinci), or a sticker or a fingerprint or pawprint, or try a nature print using a leaf or flower as a nature stamp, and sign the log. Stamps are cheap at Michael's and scrapbooking stores or make your own with an eraser and an exacto knife. Join the fun!

Please, don't take my stamp!

Thanks ‘Inukshuk’er for suggesting this area to me.
