Danube Park
Today's location of the park was first regulated in 1895, and the are that was chosen had been previously used for annual fairs, which is why this part of the city was historically known as Fairground.
Initially, the city authorities arranged a lot in front of the Palace of Justice - the grass and trees were planted and first garden paths were laid out. In 1912, the lot was embellished with Đorđe Jovanović's nymph statue. The park also features a statue of Đura Jakšić by Jovan Soldatović, a statue of the Venerable Sergije Radonješki (a gift from Russian-Serbian Friendship Society), a bust of Branko Radičević by Ivanka Acin, and since 1992, a bust of Miroslav Antić by Pavle Radovanović.
The central park of the park features a pond with an islet in it. The pond is occasionally stocked with fish. So far, the last renovation of the pond took place in 1978 when it became home to a pair of swans and some ducks.
The park features several very rare species of trees - hazelnut, plane trees, birch trees, silver linden trees, chestnut, poplars, fir trees, cypress, thuja, pine, etc. One of the main attractions of the park is an outstanding English oak which is, due to its rarity and old age, enlisted as a protected specimen. The park is also decorated with numerous species of boxwood, barberry, Japanese quince, white and red cornel, juniper, etc.
Within the last century, Danube Park has become one of the most favorite sanctuaries for those seeking shade, tranquility and calmness within the city's urban environment. The park is among the most prominent landmarks of the city, and also one of the most popular motifs on Novi Sad postcards.

Dunavski Park
Najlepši novosadski park sa preko 250 biljnih vrsta nalazi se u samom centru grada, a prostire se na 33.695 kvadratnih metara. Park se nalazi pod zaštitom Republičkog zavoda za zaštitu prirode.
Uređenje zemljišta za Dunavski park započeto je 1895. godine na velikoj livadi gde su se do tada održavali veliki godišnji vašari. Stoga je i ledina na kojoj je počelo uređenje parka zvala vašarište.
Najpre je uređen prostor ispred tadašnje Sudske palate – zasejana je trava posađeno drveće i napravljene zemljane staze. Taj prostor je od 1912. godine počela da krasi skulptura „Nimfe“, rad novosadskog vajara Đorđa Jovanovića. U parku se nalazi i spomenik Đure Jakšića, rad Jovana Soldatovića, figura Prepodobnog Sergija Radonješkog (poklon Društva rusko-srpskog prijateljstva), bista Branka Radičevića (rad Ivanke Acin), a 1992. godine postavljena je i bista Miroslava Antića, koju je izradio Pavle Radovanović.
U centralnom delu parka nalazi se jezero sa malim ostrvom u sredini. Jezero se povremeno poribljava. Jezero je generalno rekonstruisano 1978. godine, kada je u njega stavljen par labudova i nekoliko pataka.
Dunavski park krase mnogobrojne i retke vrste drveća: lešnika, platana, breza, srebrne lipe, divljeg kestena, jablana, jela, čempresa, tuja, bora... U njemu se nalazi i veoma lep i redak piramidalni hrast lužnjak, koji je stavljen pod zaštitu. Park ukrašava i veliki broj vrsta šiblja: šimšira, žutike, japanske dunje, crvenog drena, kleke...
U svakom slučaju, Dunavski park više od jednog veka odoleva vremenu i predstavlja pravu oazu mira u centru Novog Sada. On predstavlja i jedan od zaštitnih znakova Novog Sada, nezaobilazan i na razglednicama našeg grada.
