Bedtime story:
Now for a little sidetrack history into Desert GPS (life story). When I was in the Air force, once a week my team was tasked to go do a FOD (Foreign Object Detection) walk on the Flight Line (Runway). The reason for this FOD walk was to find trash i.e. nuts and bolts, which could damage the aircraft. Of course, the Airman really looked forward to this adventure (being facetious). To make it enticing so that everyone would participate. The NCO’s (Non-Commissioned Officers, Bosses) would place a “Golden Bolt” on the flight line. Who ever found this golden bolt would be given a one day liberty (Day off). So of course when you offer a reward, everyone becomes eager to help out. Now I know us fellow Geocachers do not need any type of reward to do a community service. However, don’t be surprised to find a golden delight hidden amongst the trash, see hints for a Hint!
After all of our hard work, a fellow cacher has offered up his coordinates for some R&R (Rest and Relaxation). A swimming pool was offered up to get electrocuted during the afternoon T-Storm. Survivors will be able to part take in having burgers and hot dogs. Were are looking for volunteers to bring other odds and ends to sweeten the festivities. i.e. we could use some help with some chips, buns, condiments, and more drinks.
It was requested we do this earlier in the Morning at 7am, if no one objects to this we will have it then. Although it will be cutting into my beauty sleep, which the wife says I need a lot of.
