emzett: Seven years after placing the cache, I have removed it today during a great tour through the winelands. It was really hard work (including wet a foot ) to find the cache and I think it also had moved a bit. ;-)
Maybe one of local cachers will like to take over the spot...

Thanks to all geocachers who visited the spot for all the logs and

a very big "Thank you!" goes to Tricky Vicky & Mickey for all their maintenance work on this cache. I have really appreciated your support and without your help the cache would have been gone much earlier.

Geocache Description:

To say 'Thank you!' to the local Geocaching community for all the great caches I have found in South Africa, I have left a micro cache. The cache is best approached from the R45 road between Franchhoek and Villersdorp and will be maintained by a local geocacher.

You can park your car at S 33°56.299 E 19°09.713. It's only a short walk to the historical marker at S 33°56.299 E 19°09.679. If you continue for estimated 10 metres, you will find a path leading to some stairs. Go down and find the cache! But be careful as it could be slippery.

At the cache site you don't need to dig or turn any rocks, but you will need a sharp eye. Please bring your own pen, unless someone is so friendly and drops a short pencil. Please don't trade here.
