Maples, Frogs and Trains Cache
This is a pleasant little park that used to be an open, although neglected, field when I was a kid. I had fun running the little hills along the railroad tracks and each hill had a specific name. I enjoyed trying to catch frogs and tadpoles in the water-filled trenches along the railroad tracks, just to set them free again and see them hop or swim away. Of course, I always had to watch out for the trains and run back to the safety of “the hills.” These train tracks are still active with freight trains.
Sometime along the way, as the apartments across the street were built in what was then too, an open field, this field was developed into the park you see today called Maple Street Park. There are tons of Little League games here and the playground has been updated several years ago.
The cache is now a micro cache in a small bison tube. Cache is NOT near the railroad tracks! Please watch out for Muggles especially during the crowded league games. Please re-hide fully and carefully. Parking is at the tennis courts or on the street. So bring your glove and ball, a Frisbee or your tennis racquet and enjoy a game!
This cache has a long histiry of being muggled and/or getting wet with the prvious containers, so now it is a micro as mentioned above. The original intent was for this to be a kid-swag exchange cache but its history has made me continually downgrade its size. Please take care not to be seen if possible and rehide with care.
