Geocache Description:

All the "Goodbye, TEB' caches are on playing fields or walking paths provided by the Port Authority. Parking should be available in at least one of the three fields on Redneck Road.

Federal Express began in 1973 with 389 employees and 14 Dassault Falcon jets delivering 186 packages. An early slogan was, "America, you've got a new airline." These aeronautic roots remain, notably in the three-letter designation given to Express stations; these identifiers correlate to any nearby airfield on FAA charts.
Why, then, will you see 'TEB' on trucks out of Maywood, NJ, and 'JSL' on the ones right across from Teterboro Airport? Simply, the Maywood station was first, and serviced much of the top half of the state at one time. As volume grew, so did the amount of stations.
Now, the end of an era, for many of us, at least: TEB in Maywood is closing, with routes going to several of the nearby stations. These caches are a salute to on old home and a welcome to a new one.
