Los Altos Hills Pathways 2: 280 Exercise Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

Nomex: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

This is a multi/puzzle cache on a little-used pathway in Los Altos Hills with a view of Highway 280.

This is one of the Los Altos Hills pathways that's paved, and you'll see Interstate Highway 280 go along side it. Wildlife seen in this area are deer, jack rabbit, squirrel, and opossum.

You can find the final cache in two ways:

1) You can get some physical exercise by hiking to the posted coordinates and find a Micro with hints and coordinates of the final cache.

2) You can get a mind exercise by solving this simple puzzle to get the coordinates 20' south from the final cache. This should save you some hiking.

X+Y = A
3X+Y = B
2Y * (Y - 1/3) = X

N 37° 21.A
W 122° 06.B

If you see a lot of poison oak, then don't go there, that's the wrong location. There's a small patch of it to the East of the cache and it can be avoided easily. Note that terrain difficulty is set to 2.5.

The pathway's trailhead is at the end of Oak Park Court in the middle of an exclusive neighborhood (N 37° 21.347, W 122° 07.076). There is room to park here. You should approach this from I-280 and El Monte Rd.
