Geocache Description:

Interesting place in the middle of the forest. There are some bunkers around, which were presumably used by guerrilla fighters after the WWII.

I am not familiar with the history of this place as I found it by accident. But it seems like a perfect example of the Soviet propaganda. I guess that they intended to create something like an open air museum to illustrate the "struggle" of pro-soviet guerrilla fighters in post war Lithuania. The bunkers are definitely mock as they are reinforced with concrete, which, I presume, was pretty difficult to obtain in the middle of the forest at that time... Of course, I might be wrong, feel free to correct me. However, the place is really interesting to visit: swamps and old, mature woods around. Be careful in the hunting season, though. We saw some hunter towers around:)
