The EagleXtreme Series
The EagleXtreme series of caches were placed mostly in places or
positions related to heights or danger. The heights could be over a
bridge, up a tree, or even standing on a log suspended 20cm above a
river. The danger could be no protection from a deep reservoir, up
a tree, or a cache GZ just before a sheer drop. Caches in the
series include:
- EagleXtreme 1: The Death River GC2E3J2
- EagleXtreme 2: The Distance to Death (Not Yet Published)
- EagleXtreme 3: Climb for the Cache GC2E9AN (Archived)
- EagleXtreme 4: The Danger Dam GC2EM1Y
Pollok Park
Pollok park, a fantastic park for walking, cycling, morning
jogs, a walk with the kids, or (in my case) a good place to bag
caches. There are many attractions to visit, including the burrell
collection, the pollok house, woodland walks, mountain style biking
in the forest and a play park for younger kids. This great park
achieved the 2008 European Best Park award for its outstanding
quality and facilities.
The Cache Itself
.....is a replacement cache for my 'Climb for the Cache GC2E9AN'
as it was muggled. This area of the park is less visited and is and
area with lots of weird trees like at my previous EagleXtreme 3.
This one isn't much of an extreme.......the most extreme you will
get is taking the chance of getting scratched by holly or thorns!
The cache is at the base of a sort of curly tree. There is also
many other strange trees nearby you can climb. A great cache for
the kids. Enjoy :)
One Last Thing.......
Have a go at climbing a tree. It can be anywhere in the park.
There are many. If you want, you can post coordinates of another
weird tree in your log for other cachers to see and go to for a bit
of fun outdoors. After all, thats what geocaching was set up to
achieve! If you do post coordinates, I will post them on my cache
page for others to see......try and take pictures too......thank
you!!!! :)
