The new South Canyon Trail Sagebrush Trail Dick Bishop Trail is reachable via a few different routes from the parking area. No bush-whacking required!
- Park hours are 8am to ½ hour after sunset.
- Standard Open Space notices apply; there are mountain lions, snakes, ticks in the park. Be prepared.
- Bring a pen!

10/9/2016: Original cache container seems to have disappeared. Placed new, smaller camoed container back at original site.
10/12/2015: Cache relocated slightly and coordinates updated, since the old oak is now gone.
4/29/07: The trail has been renamed the Dick Bishop Trail in memorium of a former Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District Board member.
6/4/06: Since our last visit, they have changed the name of this new trail from the South Canyon Trail to the Sagebrush Trail!
5/10/06: Seems like a lot of people are bushwhacking to this one. Not sure why. This cache was setup to be reachable from a few different routes, all on existing trails. Depending on your approach, you may have to follow some switchbacks, but all the trails in this OSP are great, so you can't go wrong by following the trails.
1/2006: The 2nd new trail in this OSP is now open too. It is the very short connector trail that links the new parking lot to the Cordilleras Trail.
