Very old cemetery in very nice park. Lots of nearby history.
Thomas Holme was William Penn's surveyor & laid out Philadelphia. He founded Holmesburg & nearby Harrisburg. He lays here in the Crispin Holme family plot. There is a roadside marker with more info. Across the road are 2 historic housing developments, the one to SW, Greenmont has a marker explaining it's history. Pennypack Homes to the SE was built to house workers in WW II, now a homeowners' co-op.
Lots to see in the area, allow at least an extra 10 minutes to explore.
