This cache is placed by Ben Blain on the Brown-hooded Kingfisher Trail (Duiwerivier) on his visit to South Africa during April 2006. Ben is 7 years old and lives in Kingston upon Thames, London, England. He would love to see who is visiting his cache, so please take your picture and post it with your log.
The total walk is 4 kilometres return. The route is fairly flat. The walk will take you through a river valley with beautiful rocks and cliffs. There is a waterfall and nice rock pool for swimming.
Look out for the Knysna Loeries.
Directions to the walk
Travelling on the N2 through Wilerness, one sees a signboard pointing to the right which says, “Kleinkrans”. The next turn to the left says “The Vleie”. Take this one. Drive 2 kilometres along this gravel road, witch passes trough a small railway settlement. Turn left at the T-junction and stop at the car park on the right. The entrance to the walk is 100m further and is well indicated.
Regulations
Self-issuing permit at the gate. Obey Park Board Regulations at entrance of the trail.
