One of the things we love about watching Wakefield pitch is how he
makes it look so easy. A slow, effortless toss that looks
like he could do all day. Such a simple-looking throw, but almost
impossible to hit (or to catch). And not only do the batter and the
catcher have no idea where the ball will end up -- even Wakefield
himself often has no idea.
That sounds like a great way to go through life: shrug your
shoulders, give it a shot, and see what happens. But don't make it
look too hard.

The cache is a 8"x10" Lock & Lock style container located in
a Maynard conservation area, in close proximity to several baseball
fields. Initial contents include some baseball-themed items (some
Red Sox, some generic). The cache is about 40 feet from the trail.
Please cover it with leaves and sticks.
We initially got to the site by parking at the Crowe Field
parking lot, next to the baseball field, and following the trail
that starts behind center field. It turns out that there is closer
parking at the dead end of Taylor Road. See "Additional Waypoints"
below for parking coordinates.
