This is one of several beautiful rock formations in the Stillwaters made by the flowing water coming down from springs and snow melt.
A high clearance vehicle is needed here unless you don't mind hiking 2-miles up from the highway followed by 2-miles back to your car.
Please don't try this one alone as you will need basic rock climbinmg skills to get up the falls. A good, strong 8-10 foot ladder will help you overcome a lack of climbing skills. But, DO NOT DO THIS CACHE BY YOURSELF!
Cell phone coverage is good outside of the cut but not once you go in.
My ever so eager seven year old was left out of placing this one due to the extreme difficulty of the climb. My 15 and 12 year old sons and I made it just fine without using any ropes or other climbing gear, but you need to be a good climber to negotiate this one.
The cache is a .50 cal ammo can.
This is a spot that I would recommend to stick around and explore all day.
We put this one out as the sun was setting and saw two small bats, despite the fact it is still cold here. I also saw signs of deer, Moutain Goats and Big Horn sheep.
Look around, you may actually see them.
