Geocache Description:

VTA Light Rail Series

Original pre-adoption text:

My son really enjoys watching and riding on the trains. Every time he hears a train whistle blow, he yells out “Train”. He really enjoyed working on the Trolley Cache Series and now that it is live again, we will go and finish it.

With the price of gas, and we all know how much driving we do going from cache to cache, this is a way to save some gas money. If you haven’t been to this area to do caches, there are at least 1 or 2 other caches within a quarter mile radius of these new caches.

We thought it would be great to do a series of our own based on the opening of the new VTA light rail line. Since VTA is planning on opening the line in stages, we thought we would open the cache in stages as well. For each of the locations, we have included a letter with a number. This will get you to our last cache, End Station. You will most likely *not* be able to find this without completing the series. For those who complete this series, you will receive a custom made Geocoin.

VTA Bascom Station
VTA Diridon Station
VTA Downtown Campbell Station
VTA Fruitdale Station
VTA Hamilton Station
VTA Race Station
VTA Winchester Station

Each cache is outside the train platforms and away from the tracks. We tried to keep each Cache within walking distance from the platform. Our goal was to limit it to about 500 Feet.
