The "Wilson Creek Loop" will involve approximately 100 kms of driving. 35 kms is on a paved highway. The other 65 kms is on the Wilson Creek FSR which is described as a good, 2 wheel drive, gravel road, and while that is mostly true the section from Wilson Lake East along Wilson lake has some rather rough sections. Having said that we saw more than one newer car on the road during our two day camping trip to place this series of caches. While the tour can be done either direction we have chosen to give you driving directions from the Rosebery end.
This tour will take you to several pristine mountain lakes and spectacular waterfalls with plenty of opportunities for camping, hiking, and fishing. To get the most enjoyment out of this caching series we strongly recommend bringing your camping gear. Also don't forget your camera, bug spray, and fishing rods. As always, remember to be bear aware.
Little Wilson Lake is another awesome mountain lake with plenty of fishing opportunities. There is a small recreation site with a couple of spots available for camping.
Little Wilson Lake is located approximately 34.5 kilometers along the Wilson Creek Forest Service Road from the intersection at Rosebery.
In order to locate the final cache: "Wilson Creek Loop Final" you must visit ten caches. Each cache will have a clue written on the lid as well as in the logbook. Write the clue down.
As this is a stand-a-lone cache, you are welcome to just log this cache if you don't have time to take in the entire tour.
