The cache site is near a slightly uphill public footpath. There is a kissing gate at the bottom of the hill, which might restrict wheelchairs.
Caernarfon Castle is a most amazing building. It was founded in 1283, and is a piece of glorious architecture. But it is also a symbol of the domination of the Welsh people who were subdued by Edward 1. So Welsh people have very mixed feelings about this building. We wanted you to have a good view of the castle, so this cache is NOT in the town. You can access this cache from the town, walking over the bridge, but by road you have to go out of town and back down the other side of the river, but it is well worth it, as the road gives excellent views across the fields to the castle. Just further on there is a park with lots of Sports facilities, and a place for a picnic.
