You can park at the cache, Dent Bridge History. It is a huge pullout just after you cross the bridge. You are looking for a lock n lock and will have to find the deer trail that goes up the hill. It will take you to a flat wide ledge on the hill. Watch your kids closely or leave them with someone at the rig. The view from there is great. .
When I was in High School, some friends of mine, invited me to go sledding. The cache named, Start, is where we started our sled ride trip. And the finish was in the middle of Dent Bridge. I placed the Finish Cache where you have a good view of my finish. It was great to be able to do things like this when I was young, but today it is not allowed and way too dangerous. DO NOT TRY THIS YOURSELF. When I went down this little hill, it was the year that they started filling the reservoir.
There were 4 or 5 of us that took this ride and we had one guy that picked us up at the bottom. Ohhh, the good old days!
When we finished in the middle of the bridge, we got a great big snow ball and threw it off the edge. You didn’t hear or see anything for a long time until there was a thud and a great big black spot. The reservoir had froze over that year.
