MONTSERRAT – Roca Foradada
Montserrat, situada en pleno corazón de Catalunya, fue declarado Parque Natural en 1987. Con sus 10 Km de longitud y 5 Km de anchura ofrece a sus visitantes un sinfín de actividades y misterios, además de unas espléndidas vistas.
Proponemos una visita de cerca a una de las rocas más espectaculares: Roca foradada
Opción 1: El acceso más sencillo es desde el parking de Can Maçana, y seguir el sendero GR-172 dirección al Monasterio de Montserrat por la cara norte de la montaña (siempre hacia la izquierda). Una vez situados bajo la impresionante roca de “la Cadireta” podremos acceder al agujero de Roca foradada por un sendero a mano derecha. (40’)
Opción 2: Si se dispone de algo más de tiempo y ganas de encontrar más cachés, la excursión recomendable es seguir la ruta “dels Frares encantats”, partiendo también de Can Maçana iniciamos el recorrido como en la Opción 1, y al llegar a Coll de Guirló tomamos el sendero a mano derecha hacia el Refugio de Vicenç Barbé. Recorreremos la cara sud de la montaña, pasando por la Portella, el Refugio y el Pas del Príncep hasta llegar a Coll de Porc, desde donde iniciaremos el descenso por la cara norte hasta encontrar el sendero GR-172 paralelo a la carretera, que nos devolverá a Coll de Guirló pasando justo por debajo de Roca foradada y su vecina “la Cadireta”. MONTSERRAT – Roca Foradada (holed rock)
Montserrat, located in the heart of Catalonia, was declared a Natural Park in 1987. With 10 km long and 5 km wide offers to visitors a multitude of activities and mysteries, plus a splendid views.
We propose a visit to one of the most spectacular rocks: Roca Foradada (holed rock)
Option 1: The easiest way starts in parking Can Maçana (Pk), and follows the trail GR-172 direction to the Monastery of Montserrat by the north face of the mountain (always turn left). Once located under the impressive rock of "la Cadireta" (the little chair) you will be able to access rock Foradada by a trail (Wp6) on your right. (40 ')
Option 2: If you have more time and desire to find more caches, the recommended trip is to follow the path called "Els Frares Encantats" (bewitched Monks). Parking also in Can Maçana (Pk) start the tour as in Option 1, and when reaching Coll Guirló (Wp1) take the trail on your right towards the Refuge Vicenç Barbé. Continue your way passing through the Portella (Wp2), the refuge (Wp3) and Pas Príncep (Wp4) until Coll del Porc (Wp5), from where you’ll begin the descent down though the north face until finding the trail GR-172 parallel to the road, which returns to Coll the Guirló going just below Roca Foradada (Wp6) and its neighbour "the Cadireta" (the little chair) (3h)
