Geocache Description:

Nobody might know Matsuo Basho in Japan. A piece of travel writing named "Oku no Hosomichi" is very famous. It walks 600 kilos in about two years, and various haiku are written. He started the travel of Oku no Hosomichi here. Will you visit the road to which Matsuo Basho walked in you?

Matsuo Basho used the ship and it came from Fukagawa to Senju. His travel started here. A metallic guide version is here. It explains Japanese in a right edge. Three Christian eras are filled in here. Please take notes of it.
