Geocache Description:

This cache is located in Sam McDonald park along side Alpine Road in San Mateo.

Welcome to Sam McDonald Park! Park, get out of your car, head over the bridge, and seek out this cache. There are two was to go from here. The lower trail is really pretty. The upper trail will take to you the ranger station and the hikers hut. The only clue you will get without cheating -which should be obvious to you now if you are in the park- is to take the upper trial. PLEASE BE RESPONSIBLE GEOCACHER'S AND DO NOT TRAMPLE PLANT LIFE! Inside an ammo box, this cache initially contained:

Log book
Camera
New Rolling Stone CD
Vanishing coin magic trick
New picture frame
Tape measure key chain
2 AA batteries just in case you need a charge
And the single most annoying ringing telephone fridge magnet ever!

The tree cover made the GPS signal a bit sketchy at times, my coordinates are close. You shouldn't have any problem finding it though.

Take a picture, log your visit, and enjoy the park.
