The area you will be traveling to was a Civilian Conservation Corps, or CCC, headquarters in the 1930s and later became a Boy Scout Canoe Base Camp, which was in operation from the 1940s thru the 1980s. The land is now owned by the state. This is a wonderful place to visit, especially in the summer time, where you will find a perfect beach for swimming.
Cache is an ammo box with a logbook and fun items for trading. Enjoy the old time photo of this area. One of the beauties of Mother Nature is her ability to reclaim the land!
Cache is part of the Northwood Treasure Hunt Campaign. Please follow this link for more information: (visit link)
