The Trona
Pinnacles have been a popular location for movie makers.
Science-fiction movies such as "Planet of the Apes", and "Star Trek
V: The Final Frontier" were filmed here. The television series,
"Lost In Space" was also filmed here.
You'll find a .50 cal ammo box containing an assortment of
paperback science fiction books.
Take a book, leave a book. The box probably isn't big enough for
hardcovers. Paperbacks will fit. If you don't have a book, that's
fine. Don't bother leaving any swag. Travel bugs are welcome, but
I'll just clean the swag out and move it to another cache whenever
I come by.
The locals already know this, but keep an eye out for
snakes.
