Evans Cache Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Christopher Pike: Unfortunately, this cache page has been archived due to the lack of a timely maintenance resolution, or no response to my previous note. If the owner would like to have it reinstated, please contact me through my profile or email address referencing the GC code and name of the cache within the next 30 days. Please note that un-archiving a cache page places it through the same review process as a newly proposed cache, using the cache placement guidelines and land manager policies currently in effect.

I want to thank you for the time that you have taken to contribute to geocaching in the past and look forward to seeing more of your caches up and running in the future.

Geocache Description:

This is the 4th in a series of caches highlighting parks in Spearfish, SD. For a little exercise, follow Spearfish's walking/bike path to locate the caches or drive to each location (close parking to each cache). The caches in this series are all located in very public places so patience and discretion are necessary. This park was dedicated to Robert and Rebecca Evans for their major contributions in founding Spearfish and its educational and religious institutions. Rebecca was the first school teacher in Spearfish. Robert settled the first homestead in Spearfish Valley in 1876 at this location. This particular cache is a brown plastic cylinder 1" in diameter and 4" long. It is a log-in only cache.
