Our schedule for the day is to meet around 10am at the posted
coordinates and begin setting up to paint the Observation Deck. We
can CITO around the boardwalk with special trash pick-up sticks on
each trip in and out to the observation deck.
At Noon we will re-gather at the pavillion to break for lunch,
everyone bring your own picnic. Teresa and I will furnish a couple
of coolers with water. If you want something other than water to
drink, you are welcome to bring it and toss it in the cooler. If
you wish to bring something for everyone, post it here on the cache
page.
After lunch, we will head back to to the observation deck to
finish the paint job.If you can't come out for the entire day, you
are still encouraged to come and participate for whatever time you
have. If nothing else, come on by and have lunch with us at
noon.
If you have access to supplies for painting, ladders, trash pick
up, trash bags, trash pick up sticks etc. post what you will
bring.
We will have Cache In Trash Out Prizes!!!!!! If you have
something to give as a prize like a Geocaching T-Shirt, GOWT
Sticker, CITO Shirt, Ammo Can Swag, etc, bring it with you to the
event. We will have an ammo can to stock as one of the prizes. We
will also be handing out certificates in various categories like,
"Worst Painter", "Most Trash Carried Out", "Largest Single Piece of
Trash" and "Youngest Cacher Present" etc. If you have suggestions
for other certificates, post a note or send me an e-mail.
Although we will not be able to paint the observation deck if it
rains, we will have the event rain or shine. If it rains we will
just pick up trash till noon and then re-evaluate the situation.
The tree canopy is so thick it actually protects you from all but
the worst of floods in most areas.
