Geocache Description:

This cache is a MICRO, so bring your own pen.

There's a lot of Knox County history that goes with this cache. If you know West Knoxville, then you're familiar with the massive facilty on Kingston Pike at Cedar Bluff Road known as Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church, one of the largest Presbyterian congregations in America. But that's not where the church began. It was originally located in this cemetery and was founded by Rev. Samuel Graham Ramsey in 1796, the year that Tennessee became the 16th state. From the cache location, turn and look a few yards back up the hill. What appears to be a low cut stone wall around the Neill family plot is actually the original foundation of Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church. If you take a few minutes to wander around the cemetery, you'll find graves of veterans from the Revolutionary War, the War of 1812, and the U.S. Civil War.

Back at the church parking lot (please be respectful of worship times), you'll see the "Guests Only" private drive to the Maple Grove Inn B & B. Even without going up the driveway, you can catch a glimpse of this gorgeous Georgian style house. The house was built in 1799 by Thomas Campbell McCaughan, the man who donated the land for the original church and cemetery.

To find this cache, you do not need to lift, turn, open, or otherwise disturb anything. This is one of our first two hides, so any feedback is welcome. Be warned that the hint is a complete spoiler! Remember, BYOP and enjoy the hunt.
