Geoville City Street Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

sub32: This series has had a long run - almost 10 years - but DewPoint52 (who has been maintaining it in recent years) now lives too far away to easily do maintenance, so it's time to archive the Geoville caches. The container has been removed.

Geocache Description:

***Note- This one is out in the median. The road gets very busy around rush hour so be careful. For that same reason, watch your kids closely if you feel comfortable bringing them out there at all.***

This is one of 16 caches you will find in the first level of this series. They are all micros, primarily bison tubes with an occasional film can slipped in. In all cases the name will somehow apply to the location or I will have special camo to match the name.

Wake County is one of the nation's fastest growing counties, and in turn, is one of the most rapidly developing caching areas in the nation. With over 650 caches within 10 miles of the Capitol Building, I sometimes wonder if the city should be renamed Geoville. Well, here's my contribution to that idea. Here is a series of 21 geocaches in and around Raleigh that represent everything a growing city needs. The series works like this. There are 16 micro caches for which the coordinates are given to you. In each of those caches will be either 1 or 2 letter/number combinations. Make sure you write them down because they hold the coordinates for the next 4 caches. These 4 are regulars and should be quick and easy finds. In each of those 4 caches is a bit of the coords for the final, Geoville City Hall. The last 5 are all in the same general area, so plan on doing the final on the same trip you do the previous 4. All containers and/or locations are meant to match the name of the cache and should be pretty easy to find. Good luck!
